Sacramento Job Listings
The County of Sacramento offers an on-line job information page and application process using GovernmentJobs.com and Neogov. The positions for which we are currently accepting applications are listed below. To view the job announcement for a particular position, click on the job title. You may apply on-line right from the announcement by clicking the "Apply" button. Instructions on each screen will guide you through the process.
If this is your first time applying using our on-line application system on GovernmentJobs.com, you will need to create an account that includes selecting a unique Username and password, with a unique email address. Make a note of your Username, password, and email address so you can log into your account later for updates or to apply for additional jobs. You must maintain only one on-line account and it is very important that you do not allow anyone else to submit an application using your account. Multiple applications on shared Username accounts may jeopardize your application status in the recruitment process. You must keep your email address up to date on your on-line account, as your Username or password can only be retrieved if your email address is current.
After your account is established, you can create an application by clicking on the "Build Job Application" link. This application profile can be saved and used to apply for more than one job opening.
If you have already created your account and would like to update your personal information, or check the status of a previously submitted application, click here and enter your Username and password.
We suggest that you print a copy of the job announcement to help you prepare your answers for the Supplemental Questionnaire and to use as a reference in preparing for interviews. We also suggest creating and saving any text answers to the Supplemental Questions in a word processor and then copying and pasting them into the appropriate text box prior to submission of your application. You should periodically SAVE your work in progress so you don't lose your work if you are timed out of the system. Once you have answered the Supplemental Questions, click on "Save and Proceed". Your application will come up for you to review and edit as needed.
Before you finish and click on "Confirm and Send Application", you will be able to attach/upload any required documents in formats .pdf .doc .docx .xls .xlsx .txt .png or .jpg. Documents that are uploaded during the application process need not be submitted separately to Employment Services. The "Privacy Statement and Certificate of Applicant" will come up for you to either "Accept" or "Decline". If you "Accept", a message will come up that tells you that your application has been received. You will also receive a confirmation via e-mail. Please retain this confirmation as proof of receipt. Submit your applications before 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time (PT) on the filing deadline listed.
If our current openings do not include jobs you are interested in at this time, you may complete a job interest notification request. You can request individual job notifications by specific job titles or by selecting several broad categories at once. To request notification for a specific job class, click on class specs; then search for the class you are interested in, and click on the link "Email me when jobs like this become available". You may also request notification by job category. You will be notified by email once the position you are interested in is open for recruitment.
24-Hour Job Line:
In addition to our on-line resources, we have a 24-hour Sacramento County Job Line. Call any time for recent job openings. The Job Line number is 916-874-JOBS(5627).
